Each Friday I will post about my favorite story of the week. On Thursday we learned through Houston affiliate KTRK that Barbara Bush was in the hospital. I immediately got to work confirming details. I was able to arrange a phone interview on Larry King Live with the doctor who performed the operation on Mrs. Bush. That was the highlight of the week...and also that Mrs. Bush was ok.
My other favorite story from the week came from KTXA. It is about a woman who volunteers to greet soldiers coming home from duty at the airport. On Thursday she went to DFW to welcome soldiers as usual and her husband surprised her with a visit home.
